Description:

Terminus is looking for a Senior Manager of Digital Strategy to help lead buying and planning across Programmatic, Paid Social, and Video for Terminus. This person must have strong programmatic experience with The TradeDesk, Liveramp, 3rd-Party Pixel Mappings, and 3rd party data segments and be comfortable working directly with customers to create personalized ad campaigns, and troubleshoot existing campaigns. This position reports to the VP of Ad Operations & Data Platforms.  

We are in search of a candidate that embraces a fast-paced, innovative culture. This person will help find solutions to complex customer problems with a mixture of ad tech and reporting methodologies. The Senior Manager of Digital Strategy will partner with the internal Terminus team to navigate customers who are ambitious to test, learn, adopt, and grow. This leader must be comfortable translating media strategy and activation principles to our internal product team and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role has experience managing a team and has overseen various aspects of digital platform activation, emerging applications, as well as the convergence of mobile and digital marketing technologies. Direct reports include digital strategists who support on day-to-day deliverables.

 

Responsibilities:

Our approach to all media, including display, starts with a thorough understanding of our client’s business objectives, success metrics, available data and measurement capabilities. Focusing on the needed business result, we evaluate opportunities and prioritize based on the expected return and level of effort to ensure success. Our ideal candidate will offer expertise in the areas below:

  • Strategic advisor and internal team lead who is accountable for growth and development, coaching and mentorship of all Terminus Ad Ops team members and of the larger team.
  • Responsible for success of Terminus campaigns, who oversees, guides, and coaches the media managers, stepping in to fill gaps in campaign management where necessary.
  • Serves as a second set of eyes on weekly optimizations, bringing added insight and ideas.
  • Understands client priorities and assists with the project management and prioritization of media tasks.
  • Accountable for final strategy regarding client deliverables.
  • Partners with VP of Advertising & Data Platforms on development of strategy and integration of all media activities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of digital media experience, leading teams, communicating directly with clients
  • At least 2-3 years’ managerial experience overseeing a team of employees, preferably at a digital marketing agency
  • Knowledge of key performance metrics for omni-channel media with focus on analytics and optimization
  • Strong relationships with leading vendor partners in the space
  • Knowledge of both brand and direct response campaigns and understanding of data management platforms (DMPs) preferred
  • Ability to gather client requirements and effectively translate them into a cohesive digital media strategy, complete with associated work plans for reporting, tag management, and data overlay (1st and 3rd-party data) opportunities
  • Ability to communicate data and reports to optimize strategic recommendations in clear, cogent fashion
  • Must be comfortable in a client-facing capacity and able to develop positive relationships with internal and external counterparts
  • Must be comfortable developing and delivering strategic presentations and to think on one’s feet
  • A team player with a positive attitude who is able to handle stressful situations
  • Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with passion, a can-do attitude, and minimal direction
